Officials of the Incheon Academy of Science and
Arts (IASA) visited SUNY Korea (President Wonki Min) on May 22, 2020. This
visit helped both institutions who offer STEAM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education to cooperate in the operation of school
programs and information sessions, which will lead to the development of local talent.
President Min discussed the nature of *SUNY Korea’s remarkable educational systems and listened carefully to IASA officials’ notions concerning cooperation.
To prevent COVID-19 for this on-site visit, all the participants followed rules for social distancing by sitting one space away.
* “SUNY Korea was the first American university to be opened in South Korea in 2012, and it has grown into the largest foreign institution of higher education in the country. SUNY Korea selects the most innovative fields of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to provide education that is designed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. SUNY Korea also allows students to enjoy research and other opportunities while communicating closely with highly qualified faculty members. The ratio of students to professors, which stands at 9.3 to 1, ensures this close communication, as well as student progress. In this optimal environment, SUNY Korea is presenting a new educational paradigm and nurturing talent who will make a difference in the world” – Interview by President Min on IGC Journal
