Back To The Future: Plastic, Vinyl, & Metals' Exhibition
SUNY Koreaㅣ2020-11-11 17:41Dear All,
SUNY Korea Museum of Modern Costume is pleased to announce the opening of the 'Back To The Future: Plastic, Vinyl, & Metals' exhibition.
During the space race era of the 1960s, people had become fascinated with outer space and hoped for a new planet and a new thrilling future. Also, the development of new textile materials in the previous decade allowed space-age fashion designers to design garments with non-traditional materials such as polyester and PVC. This exhibition was planned to show the Korean designer's garments mostly from the 1990s that were inspired by the space look of the 1960s and were made with non-cloth materials. We hope this exhibition becomes a chance for you to time travel to the past which will make you imagine a hopeful and thrilling future during this unprecedented time of COVID-19.
Opening from: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 10th
* There will be NO Opening Reception/Ceremony.
Exhibition Duration: November 10th, 2020 - April 30th, 2021
Opening Hours: Monday - Friday, 10:00 - 5:00 pm (Weekends and Holidays: CLOSED)
