“Today, you saw the future fashion leaders of the world.”

- Professor Robin Baxter, Department Chair of Fashion Business Management, SUNY Korea FIT

In fall 2017, FIT, one of the world's best fashion schools, began its new journey at SUNY Korea. Upon its opening, the first batch of SUNY Korea FIT students founded a fashion club called '+82 Threads'. '+82' represents Korea as it's Korea's national number, and 'threads' represents students of FIT. On December 2017, the first fashion show of '+82 Threads' was held at the Vault, a collaborative workspace and innovation hub, located in Incheon Global Campus. Members of the club planned and organized all the bits and pieces of the show, from hair and makeup to be on the runway as models.

Students of SUNY Korea Stony Brook also joined the show as invited models. Sally Kim, Fashion Business Management student of SUNY Korea FIT, said "It was the first time organizing and being in a fashion show. I'm very excited to try new things." Even though it was the first time for all members of '+82 Threads' to hold a fashions show, the outcome was amazing.

All the student models looked professionals and confident. and guests were amazed by their talents in fashion.

This show was just the beginning for SUNY Korea FIT's students. We are very excited and proud of all of our students and their future. As Professor Baxter said, "You just saw the future fashion leaders of the world."
