[GMU] Special Lecture - The Schooled Society: The Educational Transformation of Global Culture

On Thursday, May 24, George Mason University Korea will host a special lecture on the “The Schooled Society: The Educational Transformation of Global Culture” by Dr. David P. Baker, Professor of Education and Sociology, and a research scientist at the Center for the Study of Higher Education and the Population Research Institute at the Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on the impact of education on individuals and societies, international comparisons of school organization, academic outcomes, and educational policy. His talk is based on his book by the same name, The Schooled Society: The Educational Transformation of Global Culture. This book was recently translated and published in Korean.
This special lecture will take place on May 24th (Thursday) from 12 p.m. to 1.00 p.m. in room G105. Lunch will be provided to all signed up participants. Please CLICK HEREto sign up by May 17th(Thursday).
