2018 Fall Fire & Evacuation Drill on November 29

Dear All,

 

This is a reminder of fire & evacuation drills which will be conducted for the academic building. During thedrill, you may hear a siren and/or an announcement to evacuate. We ask for your full cooperation during the evacuation. We recognize these drills may interrupt your schedule, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

 

1. Purpose

 : To improve responsiveness to emergency situations & to familiarize building occupants with evacuation routes.

 

2. Summary

· Location: Academic building A, B & C

· Date & Time: 2018.11.29. Thursday, 11:30~12:00

· Drills: Evacuate the academic building when there is a fire alarm

· Participants: Faculty, Staff & Students in the academic building  

· Evacuation Muster Point: Lawn in front of Red Book sculpture

  

3. When the Alarm Sounds

   · Escape to a safe place using emergency exits.

   · Close the door while escaping to slow the fire and smoke from expanding.

   · Do not use the elevators while escaping.

   · Lower your body as you move. Also, breathe shortly with a wet handkerchief covering your mouth and nose.

   · Use the stairs to go downstairs. However, go to the rooftop if lower floors are not available due to the fire.
