Teaching Faculty Positions in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
 

The Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics (AMS) at SUNY Korea seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position in the area of mathematics, applied mathematics or statistics at all levels, starting Spring 2025. SUNY Korea is a global campus of the State University of New York, offering degree programs from Stony Brook University (SBU)’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) and College of Business, as well as from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). SUNY Korea is part of the Incheon Global Campus, which is shared with a number of leading international universities. Songdo is a new urban center in close proximity to the Incheon International Airport, about 1-hour drive from Seoul. International high-tech firms have already located in Songdo, and relationships with industry are excellent. SUNY Korea provides its students with an American university experience in Korea with instruction in English. Its student body is international.
 

Job Description
The faculty members will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics courses and participate in department activities at SUNY Korea.
 

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English as well as some experience within higher education in the USA, such as a graduate degree, teaching or research in an American university, is essential.
  • Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics or a related discipline. Preference will be given to the areas of statistics or data science.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
  • Skilled at cross-cultural communication and enthusiastic about new experiences.
