According to the KCDC, individuals arriving from foreign countries can pre-register their quarantine information
through the Q-Code to simplify the arrival process at the airport. Please visit the Q-Code website to issue the QR code before your departure.
As of October 1, 2022, individuals arriving from foreign countries can enter Korea without quarantine. COVID-19
test before and upon arrival is no longer required.
*Make sure to double-check the information, as the quarantine regulations are subject to change.
Bank account
International students will be able to fill out the application form to create a Korean bank account and debit
card through the IBK Bank during New Student Welcome Week (NSWW). The process will take about a month or so and
students will be notified when their bank account and card are ready.
However, students without their Residence Card (RC) will be required to submit their home country’s tax
identification number for verification purposes. Those without this number will have to wait until their RC is
available to request for their Korean bank account; which may take up to 2-3 months in total.
We highly recommend you bring a debit/credit card that you can use in Korea and sufficient cash with you until
your Korean bank is available.
