Required Documents

  1. 1High School Transcript
    • High school seniors: Full high school transcript from Grades 9-12
    • High school graduates: Full high school transcript from Grades 9-12
    • GED applicants: GED certification + high school transcript (if applicable)
      • Applicants are highly advised to submit SAT, ACT, or other academic credentials
    • Transfer applicants: Full high school transcript from Grades 9-12
      • Applicants can substitute the college transcript in place of the high school transcript if the applicant earned more than 24 college credits.
  2. 2Personal Statement
    • A form is provided within the online application page and must be 650 words or less.
    • Applicants with gap year(s) are highly encouraged to provide relevant explanations.
    • Optional essays may be submitted through the online application.
  3. 3Letter of Recommendation
    • Employees of private academies and SUNY Korea faculty/staff are NOT accepted as a referee.
    • An electronic form will automatically be sent to the referee(s) by email once applicants enter the contact information in the application form.

      • Official reporting through the testing agency must be completed by the application deadline
      • Copies of test scores must be uploaded in the online application
      • Submitting a standardized English test score may be waived if:
        • Applicant has completed at least 3 years of high school in the US
        • Transfer applicants: Taken an English writing course at a US college and have received a “C” or above (excluding ESL courses)

Supplementary Documents (Optional)

  • Other documents listed below may be submitted as additional documents:
    SAT, ACT, AP, IB, A-level, College Scholastic Ability Test, high school portfolio, certificates, awards, etc.

Please Note:

  • All submitted documents MUST be issued in English
  • Documents issued in a different language should be translated and notarized.
  • Scholarship/Financial Aid applications MUST be submitted with the online application
