All new students are considered for our Merit Based Scholarships. To be considered for a merit-based scholarship, incoming students must submit a completed scholarship application form along with their university application.
SUNY Korea Admissions Office will notify selected students via email with a scholarship award letter. The awarded type, amount, and duration of the scholarship vary. Detailed information will be included in the award letter.

Students who have achieved a meritorious unweighted high school average are considered for the Presidential Scholarship. High school academic program, SAT/ACT scores, extracurricular activities, or special talents or skills may also be taken into account. Scholarship duration vary based on academic qualifications.

Merit Scholarships are awarded based on outstanding academic achievement, including high school grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and extracurricular activities. The Merit Scholarship can be extended for a maximum of one semester.
Encouragement Award is awarded based on outstanding academic achievement, including high school grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and extracurricular activities. This award is a one-time, non-continuous scholarship.
