Treat tutors, other students, and staff with courtesy and respect at all times.
Tutoring is not a substitute for attending class regularly.
Students must not request personal contact information from tutors.
Tutors should not be contacted outside the Tutoring Center for tutoring purposes.
You must adhere to all academic integrity policies. Do not request help with, nor receive
assistance on, any examination, homework, take-home test, or other graded assignment for which
you are not permitted to seek help from a tutor.
Academic Guidance:
Tutors are not academic advisors. Please seek assistance from the appropriate advisor for
questions related to course selection, academic requirements, majors, or academic standing
concerns.
Course-Based Tutoring:
Your tutor may have taken the course with a different instructor. Peer tutors receive
recommendations from the faculty members who taught them, but the Tutoring Center does not
guarantee that the tutor is endorsed by your current course instructor.
The presentation of course material may vary depending on the instructor, which may affect the
tutor's ability to assist you.
