Spring 2025 On Campus Housing Resident Selection Process (Additional Application: December 4 - 9)

This contains important information regarding the Spring 2025 housing application (additional).
ALL STUDENTS, including Fall 2024 freshmen, who wish to apply for Spring 2025 IGC Housing must follow this process. Please read through all of the information thoroughly.
*If you already received an email regarding your eligibility to apply for on campus housing, then you do not need to resubmit your application again.
**As of now, there are not many rooms available so there is a high chance you will be placed in the waitlist during this additional application period.

The Resident Selection Process was implemented in order to prioritize on campus housing for students whose residency is far from campus. Even if you were eligible the previous semester, you are required to submit the application with the correct document(s) again each semester.
Priority will be given in the order of the following criteria:
Live on campus requirement
Permanent address
Academic level (U1 lower grade first)
Tiebreaker (can be based on actual distance from campus via public transportation, academic standing or other criteria)
All applicants interested in on campus housing will be required to submit the required document(s) correctly during the application period to be considered. Only document(s) issued after November 9, 2024 will be considered. *Anyone found to have submitted false documentation will be subject to disciplinary action and will not be eligible for housing priority. In addition, applications with document(s) that do not follow the mentioned guidelines will not be considered.
Korean citizens & international students WITH permanent address in Korea
You may cover your family members' personal ID number for privacy reasons (required to show YOUR information for verification purposes)
You can download the certificate online via the 정부24 website (https://www.gov.kr)
Korean: Your Certificate of Household Register (주민등록등본 or 주민등록초본) *DO NOT UPLOAD your Korean national ID card or driver's license
International: Your Certification of Legal Status for Alien Registration (외국인등록사실증명서)
International students WITHOUT permanent residency in Korea (has no family residing in Korea)
Passport
Front side of your Residence Card (RC)
Overseas Korean WITHOUT permanent residency in Korea
Narrative
Supporting documentation (ex. visa record, parents' certificate of employment & certificate of family relations, etc.)
Result Announcement: December 13 (Fri)
*Those placed in the waitlist will also be notified via email
**Late applications will not be considered
IGC Housing Application Period: January 6 - 9, 2025
IGC Housing Payment Period: January 13 - 14, 2025
*Only the students who have been selected through the resident selection process will be eligible to apply
**Any other applications will be automatically cancelled
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- There will be a waitlist system if there are more applications submitted than available rooms.
- Incorrect and/or false documentation will not be accepted and your application will be automatically cancelled without prior notice.
- If you do not submit your application & document(s) during the submission period, then you will not be eligible to submit the IGC Housing application even if you qualify for the priority group.
- Even if you are selected, you may be restricted from living in the IGC Residence Hall if you have any housing violation records.
- The above timeline schedule and information is subject to change. Any updates will be notified via email and it is your responsibility to check your inbox/spam folder. The information will also be uploaded on the SUNY Korea website's notice board.
