    The Asian and Pacific Training Centre for Information and Communication Technology for Development (APCICT)’s objective is to build and strengthen the capacity of members and associate members of ESCAP to leverage information and communication (ICT) for the purpose of socio-economic development.  APCICT’s work is focused on training, knowledge sharing, and multi-stakeholder dialogue and partnership.

  • Responsibilities
  •    - Plans, specifies, designs, and develops customized application software systems, as well as an online knowledge sharing systems         for the Centre
    • - Supports the implementation of the Centre’s e-learning strategies, including the APCICT Virtual Academy
    • - Manages, maintains, and regularly updates APCICT online platform
    • - Provides support on software development matters, including security, data integrity, and recovery
    • - Provides technical support on relevant hardware and software systems applications in assigned area
    • - Actively seeks opportunities for integrating the latest information technology tools into APCICT's ICT for development capacity       building programmes
  • Qualifications
    • - High school diploma or equivalent 
    • - University degree in Communication, Media, Computer Science, Communication Technology, Educational Technology, or other     related fields
    • - Minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems and programming, systems administration and maintenance, or related   area 
    • - Experience in the design and management of e-learning materials and courses, knowledge platforms, and developing or assisting   in the delivery of e-learning courses 
    • - Experience with developing e-learning design architecture and writing storyboards
    • - Experience in design and authoring tools, programmes, and software (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint)
    •  Fluency in English (knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage)
