[Housing] Fall 2021 New Students' Application Guidelines (8/10-11)

Dear New Students, 

 

This email is to inform you of the Fall 2021 Housing Application Period for new students. Please see the details below and in the attached file for more information.

 

  • Important Dates/Time
    • Application Period: August 10, 2021 @10 AM - August 11, 2021 @ 5 PM (KST)
    • Check-In Period: August 20, 2021

    • IGC Housing Check-In Office Hours: 10 AM - 12 PM / 1 PM - 5 PM

    • Length of Stay: August 20 - December 19, 2021 (17 weeks)

    • Terms: First-come, first-serve as there could be room shortage.

      ※ Once there is no room available, you will not be able to apply or your application will be canceled automatically.  

    • Housing cost *Payment should be made when you apply

      • Single: 1,912,500 KRW

      • Double: 1,275,000 KRW

    • Temporary Account (ID):

      • Go to the IGC Housing website (housing.igc.or.kr), click "LOG-IN" on the top right corner, and create a temporary accountPlease note you will be able to make the account from August 9. 
      • You must use the University Code (please check your email for the code) to create an account and apply for your housing. DO NOT SHARE THIS CODE WITH ANYONE.
    • To choose a roommate: use your roommate's full English name and school ID or reference number as it is registered with the school to ensure accurate matching.

    • To choose a floor: all floormates should put the same floor number in the preference question for accurate matching. Remember, lower floors and kitchen floors are more popular, so if you choose other floors, there is a high chance that you will be put on the same floor.

    • Required Documents:

      • During the online application:

        • Online Application

        • Housing Fee

      • During the check-in:

        • Chest X-ray Tuberculosis Test Result (original copy) * 3 months prior to the check-in date

        • COVID-19 PCR Test (Text message) *Test results within 2 days from check-in day

        • Document that proves that you are enrolled for Fall 2021 semester (SUNY Korea acceptance letter or tuition fee receipt)

    Please be aware that it is highly unlikely to receive assistance from IGC Housing Office on the last day of application (August 11) due to busy lines and IGC Housing Office will not be able to provide you a second application window once you miss the initial window.

     

    We highly recommend you to apply as early as possible and contact IGC Housing Office through the Kakao Channel (http://pf.kakao.com/_JkIRK) if you have any troubles with the application process or your account.
