We would like to inform you of an opportunity to participate in the "Korean Peninsula Impact Makers Initiative" co- hosted by the Bridge and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
This project through a 9-week program aims to tackle social issues in North Korea and craft innovative solutions to the social issues facing North Korea. If you are interested, please check the details below.
▪️ Program Duration: 9 weeks
Offline Orientation: January 2, 2025 (Thursday, 7:00 PM–9:30 PM)
Online Open Innovation Lab Team Activities: Weekly on Thursdays (January 9–February 20, 7:00 PM–9:30 PM)
Offline Solution Presentation: February 27, 2025 (Thursday, 7:00 PM–9:30 PM)
▪️ Offline Location: The Bridge (Sparkplus, Narakium Yeoksam A Building, 40 Seolleung-ro 93-gil, Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul)
▪️ Eligibility
Korean youth or foreign nationals residing in South Korea (ages 19-39) interested in addressing social issues in North Korea
Individuals eager to collaborate with North Korean defectors to discuss and propose solutions to real-world problems in North Korea
Participants who can attend all scheduled offline orientations and solutions presentations
▪️ Benefits
Prizes worth a total of 6.5 million KRW in electronics for the top three teams (distributed based on rankings)
Additional support for future entrepreneurial plans
Opportunity to participate as a panelist at an international forum in April 2025
