Dear SUNY Korea Students,
SUNY Korea is getting ready to meet a group of newly joining students at SUNY Korea in the Fall 2023 semester!
To prepare for the new semester, we are looking for student volunteers to participate as Orientation Leaders (OLs) who can help the new SBU and FIT students adjust to the new environment. Because you had the same experience when you first arrived at SUNY Korea, we believe that our current students are the best supporters for our new students.
Please refer to the following details to consider applying for the position.
Working Dates and Time:
August 21 - 25, 2023 (Monday to Friday)
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM *Subject to change according to the daily schedule

MANDATORY Orientation Leaders Training Session: Monday, August 21, 2023 / 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM (on campus)
Note:
1. You must be enrolled AND matriculated in Fall 2023 and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
2. If you took a semester leave in Spring 2023 and wish to be re-matriculated in Fall 2023, you can still apply for the position and your application will be reviewed depending on the vacancy.
3. Be motivated, outgoing, team-oriented, reliable, respectful, polite, professional and have pride in the SUNY Korea community.
4. FULL TIME ONLY (from Monday to Friday).
5. Meals during the program sessions and volunteer shirts will be offered.
6. The University will be paying for your additional IGC Housing accommodation fee of one week (during NSWW) if you are living in the Residence Halls in Fall 2023. *IGC Housing Check-In: Thursday, August 17, 2023 (Students already living in IGC Housing during Summer 2023 will be able to stay for one more week (during NSWW) with no additional fee.)
7. It is mandatory to attend the orientation leader's training session on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM (lunch will be provided/subject to change).
8. Resident Advisors (RA), Department Receptionists, and Undergraduate Student Council (USC) members cannot apply for the Orientation Leader position.
