Dear Students,
We are delighted to announce the Korean Traditional Music Experience Program with Local Seniors, brought to you by IGCF and the social enterprise 'Gureum', a Korean traditional music band. This program offers a unique opportunity to learn and engage directly with Korean traditional music (Pansori, Nanta) while participating in community service activities.
We invite all interested IGC university students and faculty members to participate in this valuable program. For complete information, please refer to below:
Program:Korean Traditional Music Experience Program with Local Seniors
Application period: ~ by Monday, June 19th
Activity period: From the last week of June to August, 2023
Proceeded during vacation, subject to change
Recruitment: A total of 20 people (10 for Pansori and 10 for Nanta)
Activity contents:
4 times pre-training sessions for IGC members (on campus, twice a week)
4 times Korean traditional music education and presentations with local seniors (conducted at the Senior Welfare Center in Yeonsu-gu, once a week)
All sessions will be held in Korean but welcomes all international students
Education fee: Free
Participant incentives (under consultation): For mentor participants, (1) registering volunteer hours (2) commendation letter (undetermined)
