Volunteer Opportunities: GCF Volunteers Program for the 2nd GCF Global Programing Conference / The 5th GCF Private Investment for Climate Conference

Dear Students,
We are very excited to announce valuable volunteer opportunities at the Green Climate Fund (GCF)The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is a fund established within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as an operating entity of the Financial Mechanism to assist developing countries in adaptation and mitigation practices to counter climate change. With a mission to encourage greenhouse gas reductions and climate change projects in developing countries, the 2nd GCF Global Programing Conference (GPC) and the 5th GCF Private Investment for Climate Conference (GPIC) will be held in Yeongjong, Incheon. For the successful hosting of this event, Incheon city is now looking for volunteers in its jurisdiction to support these international conferences. We highly encourage all eligible students to apply and benefit from these volunteer opportunities at an international organization.

  • No of hiring volunteers: 20~25 
  • Organization: Green Climate Fund (GCF)  https://www.greenclimate.fund/
  • Event Title: 
    • The 2nd GCF Global Programing Conference (GPC)
    • The 5th GCF Private Investment for Climate Conference (GPIC)
  • Venue: Paradise CityIncheon (Yeongjong)
    • Songdo G-tower <-> event venue (shuttle bus service will be provided)
  • Volunteering Period: 
    • GPC: Tuesday, September 13 ~ September 15 (3 days)
    • GPIC: Thursday, September 15 ~Friday, September 16 (2 days)
  • Working Hours: 8:00-18:00 (Full-time)
  • Benefits: 
    • Meals provided
    • Souvenir
    • Issuance of volunteer certificate by the Head of General Service Team
  • Expected Tasks:
    • Work at registration (information) desk
    • Distribution of documents
    • Exit control in meeting room
    • Other administrative supports
  • Qualification: 
    • Undergraduate / graduate students in Incheon-based universities or residing in Incheon
    • Fluency in English is essential 
    • Those who can participate in both conferences are preferred
