2024 Summer World Federation of UN Association (WFUNA) Student Delegation Program in NYC

Dear Students,
 
We would like to introduce a wonderful opportunity to participate in the 2024 Summer WFUNA (World Federation of UN Association) Student Delegation at the United Nations Headquarters.
SUNY Korea CDC will select three university student representatives to be dispatched to the United Nations Headquarters in New York from August 12 to 16, 2024 and partially cover the participation fee.

▪️ Position/Type: Student Delegation
▪️ Program Period: May, 2024 - August, 2024
▪️ Deadline: Thursday, March 21 (11:59 pm)
▪️ Location: Training Session in Korea (August 12 - August 16) in NYC 
 
▪️ Company/Organization:
The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WAFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. The 2024 Summer WFUNA Student Delegation Program is a global talent training program that enhances youth understanding of the UN and the SDGs and helps them prepare for the career path of international organizations through policy proposals and presentations at the UN headquarters.

▪️ Qualifications:
Enrolled as an undergraduate student 
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Have a valid Korean passport
- Those who have no history of receiving a deportation order or refusal of entry into a country (USA)
- Those who can engage in English debate fluently
- Those who can engage in English debate fluently
- Participation fee & airfare: 5,000,000 KRW in total (500,000KRW will be covered by SUNY Korea CDC)

- Orientation and Domestic Education (May - August)
- Visit to UN Headquarters (August 12 - August 16)

▪️ Benefits: 
- An opportunity to build exchanges and find mentors with diplomats and U.N. officials from around the world
SUNY Korea CDC will cover 500,000KRW for each selected student
 
▪️ Application Process: 
- Fill out the attached forms (Korean application form and English essay in a free format) and send it to careercenter@sunykorea.ac.kr by Thursday, March 21 (11:59pm)
*Please send a copy of your official English Test Score if you have one*
- After reviewing the applications, selected students will be invited for interviews with the Career Team.
