Job Description
The Faculty of Science and Humanities (FSH) at SUNY Korea invites applications for an adjunct faculty with specialty in Japanese to start in Fall 2023. The successful candidate will teach the following undergraduate introductory level Japanese course. Being passionate about teaching and Japanese is a must!
JPN 111: Elementary Japanese (4 credits)
An introduction to spoken and written Japanese with equal attention to speaking, reading, and writing. Linguistic analysis of the characters provides cultural and historical background of the language.
The successful candidate will have:
- Master or Ph.D. in Japanese or a closely related field
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Japanese at the college level
- Excellent command of English (all instruction is in English)
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Teaching experience in an English-speaking institution preferred
- High standard of professional integrity expected

- Compensation: Around 5.5 million KRW for teaching each course per semester
