Job Description:

Adjunct Professor for teaching FIT course in Spring 2018: FA 116 – Creative Media

It is expected that this faculty member will have an active studio practice and exhibition record, with the ability to teach the principles of 2D and 3D design. Strong knowledge of artist’s materials and techniques is essential. Must possess the ability to share extensive knowledge of art history in both Western and non-Western contexts, as well as current practices, approaches and movements in the contemporary art world. All teaching will be in English.

Requirements

-The terminal degree in Fine Arts, an MA or MFA. At least 3 years of teaching in a college setting.

-Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

-Experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Excellent command of verbal and written English.

Application Instructions:

The adjunct professor will teach FA 116 in Spring 2018. Review of applications will commence in December and decisions will be made in early January. The salary and appointment rank will be based on education level and cumulative experience. Please note a background check is required for appointment to this position. 직무소개: 

2018년 봄학기 FIT 수업 (FA 116: Creative Media)을 가르칠 겸임교수

본 수업을 담당할 교수는 스튜디오 실무와 전시 기록이 있어야 하며, 2D와 3D디자인의 원칙을 가르칠 수 있는 능력이 있어야 합니다. 예술가의 소재와 기술에 대한 뛰어난 지식은 필수적인 요소입니다. 또한 서양과 비서양의 두 맥락에서 광범위한 예술사를 다룰 수 있어야 하고, 현대 예술계의 실무와 이에 대한 접근법, 그리고 사조에 대해서도 다룰 수 있어야 합니다.

자격 요건: 

-순수예술(Fine Art)분야 최종 학력자로, 석사학위(MA, MFA) 이상을 소지해야 함. 최소 3년의 대학교 수준의 강의경험이 요구됨.

-우수한 영어 소통 능력(말하기, 쓰기)

-학부 수준의 강의 경력 및 경험, 뛰어난 구두 및 서면 영어 구사 능력
