SUNY Korea-FIT invites applications for an adjunct teaching position for its mathematics courses.
Job Description:
SUNY Korea-FIT is recruiting applicants for possible adjunct teaching position to teach one or more of the art history courses below. There is one course/section available for teaching per semester. All courses will be taught in English:
HA 112 (in Fall)
History of Western Art and Civilization: Renaissance to the Modern Era
3.0 credits
Presents the history of Western art and civilization from the early Renaissance to the modern era. Illustrated lectures explore painting, sculpture, and architecture in relation to pertinent religious, political, economic, and social conditions. (G5: Western Civilization; G7: Humanities)
HA 231 (in Spring)
Modern Art
3.0 credits
Prerequisite: HA 112
Presents the history of Western art from the 19th century through the mid-20th century in the context of cultural history. (G7: Humanities)
- PhD in art history preferred; minimum requirement is an MA in art history, plus 30 additional and related graduate credits and/or relevant teaching experience. The requirement for the MA may be waived for candidates in a terminal PhD program where an MA is not awarded, although related teaching experience is in that case still required.
- Fluent English skills because SUNY Korea is an English-speaking institution
- At least one year (two semesters) of college level teaching experience in English·
- Effective teaching skills and communication skills
· - Ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues
