Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at SUNY Korea
The Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics (AMS) at SUNY Korea seeks applicants for tenure-track faculty positions in areas of statistics or data science starting Fall 2025. SUNY Korea is a global campus of the State University of New York, offering degree programs from Stony Brook University (SBU)’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) and College of Business, as well as from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). SUNY Korea is part of the Incheon Global Campus, which is shared with several leading international universities. Songdo is a new urban center near the Incheon International Airport, about a 1-hour drive from Seoul. Many international high-tech firms have already been established in Songdo. SUNY Korea provides its students with an American university experience in Korea. The student body and faculty are global and all instructions are in English.


Job Description
The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate-level statistics courses, conduct research, and participate in department activities at SUNY Korea.


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in statistics or data science, preferably from a U.S.-based institution.
  • Fluency in English
  • A distinguished teaching, research, and scholarship record, preferably in a U.S.-based institution.
  • Potential to develop significant and internationally recognized research programs.
  • Demonstrated academic leadership experience and a commitment to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion among faculty, students, and staff.
