Adjunct Faculty Position
Faculty of Sciences and Humanities (FSH) at SUNY Korea
The State University of New York (SUNY) Korea was established in March 2012 as the first American university system in Incheon, South Korea. Currently, SUNY Korea offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Technology and Society, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Business Management, and Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University (SBU) and associate programs in Fashion Design and Fashion Business Management from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Students of SUNY Korea experience the authentic American higher education and take courses in both South Korea and the New York home campuses in the U.S. In addition to the major courses of the above-mentioned programs, SUNY Korea also offers various General Education courses such as Biology, Physics, Geology, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Language, Music, Arts, Career Development etc. In order to strengthen our educational capacity further, SUNY Korea is constantly expanding its programs and recruiting prominent faculty from all over the world.
Job Description
The Faculty of Sciences and Humanities (FSH) at SUNY Korea invites applications for an adjunct faculty with specialty in Psychology to start in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach the following undergraduate course.
● PSY 103: Introduction to Psychology (3 credits)
An introduction to research and theory in psychology in such areas as learning, perception, cognition, biopsychology, development, personality, and abnormal and social psychology. As part of the course, students must participate in experiments and/or a library research project.
Requirements/Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching Psychology at the college level
• Excellent command of English (all instruction is in English)
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Teaching experience in an English-speaking institution preferred
Review of candidates will begin in early May and will continue until the position is filled.
